Features

  • The puller motion is precise thanks to the use of 8 adjustable quidance wheels.
  • The clamping force is proportional to the pulling force, since the system of screws is of the self-locking type

The pullers are driven by an Asynchronous servo motor driving a metallic rope, which moves the Puller.

The Puller jaws are self-adapting the shapes, while the clamping force is according with the pulling force.

The Puller structure frame is running on high precision steel guides, while bus-bar are foreseen to transmit electrical power and signals.

A PLC remote station is fitted on board of each puller, connected to the main PLC thanks to an optical communication device.

An hydraulic Unit fitted on the carriage is necessary for all the hydraulic cylinders and/or motors.

 

The Pullers can operate the following working cycles:

  • The puller is stopped by the press when the extrusion process is completed;
  • The puller stops the press when the extruded section has reached the set length;
  • Cut every two billets;
  • Multi-cut for each billet.

 

Furthermore the extrusion sequence is the following:

  • The 1st puller runs up to lead out table and brings the shapes.
  • The 2nd puller is in stand-by position near the sawing machine.
  • When the extrusion of the billet is finished, the saw cuts the profile that is carried on the run out table by the 1st puller.
  • Meantime the 2nd puller brings the sections before the saw and follows the next billet

 

A maintenance area is foreseen at the end of both puller tracks; in case one puller is out of service, it will be parked in this area in order to be repaired. During the maintenance operations the plant can still run but, for safety reasons, with shorter extrusion length. A mechanical safety stopper is placed on the track of the operating puller; if this stopper is removed, the machines immediately stop their cycle.
