Is the super-large medium-speed marine engine based on made in china dual-fuel combustion technology reliable or not?

Lately, the country's first super-large medium-speed marine engine with a power of 9.2MW was assembled and off line of assembly line in Zhenjiang. The 9.2 megawatts of power of a single engine can produce the same power as 900 cars at the same time, which has greatly improved the ship's driving performance.

In addition, its dual-fuel engine model can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 20%, and the cost of entire engine is reduced by more than 20% compared with imported engines. As one of the most widely applicable engines within industry, medium-speed marine engines are widely application in offshore platforms, power plant, engineering ships, large passenger ships, and large incoming ships, and it is consisting tens of thousands of components, there are more than 1,000 drawings connected into them.

Originally, this type of engine product has completely dependent on European imports in past, and through this project, it has broke through the monopoly by foreign countries and developed the supply chain of large bore ship spare in Chinese market. The breakthrough from 0 to 1 was completed by CSSC Zhenjiang Co., Ltd. in collaboration with more than 10 scientific research institutes and universities within four years. Industry, academy and research have worked closely together to overcome key technologies such as the optimization of dual-fuel combustion model, and realized the independent design and development of the entire engine.

After the completion of performance testing and classification society certification , this engine will become the heart of made in china ships, and can be used in domestic engineering ships and offshore platforms in the future. The engine is the medium-speed engine of large bore ship, and the overall standard has reached a new level. 

In this case, we are wondering if its fuel injection valves, controllers, and materials can really reach the level of high-end manufacturing, and what is the failure rate, reliability, and stability of this engine? Will it drives thousands Chinese local superintendent friends runs with it and in a super busy status?
